Barnsley Pub

10 Aug

Overlooking the glorious gardens and terrace, a table awaits you in The Potager, where you can enjoy a wonderful meal in a tranquil and unhurried atmosphere. Just across the road is The Village Pub, our very own Cotswolds country inn, with hearty pub fare that's a cut above what you might expect. We're passionate about showcasing fresh, local ingredients and in true garden-to-plate philosophy, many of our vegetables, salads and herbs are freshly picked from our kitchen garden every morning. So if you choose to linger over a relaxed lunch overlooking our idyllic gardens or tuck into some classic better-than-pub grub across the road, there’s sure to be something to tempt you.

Wherever you're from, you're one of the locals

Picture the very best of British country pubs. Fill it with a generous stock of Cotswolds craft ales, crisp West Country ciders, and a tip top wine stash. Add a menu of delicious food that's soulful, seasonal and cleverly showcases the very best local produce, plus six rather good-looking bedrooms with all the comfy touches you could want. You've found our Village Pub, just across the road from Barnsley House...

Explore the Cotswold countryside with one of our four circular walks, from discovering the nearby village of Bibury to walking along the old Roman roads, there's plenty to explore by foot from the pub - or borrow our bikes and venture out on two wheels!

Comfy and cosy, our half a dozen bedrooms are your Cotswold bolt-hole for the night with separate entrances from the pub. Think country charm, soft hues, old beams, the odd sunken roll-top bath, and most importantly, a hearty farmhouse breakfast.
